The sermon of what’s already here ∞
You are looking
I am looking
I am not being fed by food
I am not ever satiated by the substance of this world
I crave
I need
The root of all suffering lies in this incessant craving
What do I truly desire?
It is said that the desire to know your own soul will dissolve all other desires
I now know this to be true
∞
When the sky is dark,
When my heart is longing,
I track this desperation to its center
And what I find… is a craving for my God
All desire can lead us to the Temple of Holy Love if we look close enough
Put down your distractions
Stop your seeking
What you are craving is beneath your nose,
Under your breath,
Alive within you now
Let the arrow drop, as Rumi says
We are looking and looking and looking for something
For what?
It is the maya; the illusion that we are separate
So we go looking for our other half
Those who awaken know true comedy
They laugh at the play
They laugh at the game of separation
It is but a game
Wake up while you are still fully alive and while you have a body
Wake up now!
Go straight into the Sun
Here – every thirst will be satiated
Here – is the well that never runs dry.
